wasting time…

I haven’t posted anything in awhile, but I’ve been wasting my time elsewhere on the interweb. Mostly, I’ve been enjoying the sport of scam-baiting…it involves giving a hard time to the people who send out the emails about how they’ve just come into a large amount of money and need your help getting it out of Nigeria or Zanzibar or wherever. I was skeptical of how enjoying this pastime could be, but I was hooked after the first few exchanges of email between myself and a “19 year old orphan girl” (actually a dude) from Nigeria. Her ridiculously rich father had died, and the “girl” had to get the money transferred to somewhere else so that her greedy family wouldn’t steal it. I had email conversations with her, her lawyer, and the bank where her money was, (all three had the same ip address, which was located somewhere in Ghana), but it took quite awhile before she asked me for a loan of several thousand dollars so she could get the required court documents to transfer the money out of the country. I strung her along for several months by pretending that I died and contacted her as my single and very senile father who was looking for a pretty young girl to help him around the house. She said she was very attracted to my father, who had sent her a picture of Wilford Brimley instead. I’ve been doing this since April 6th. I think it’s fun…my girlfriend thinks I’m stupid…
